Peter C. Sisson is a partner in the Boise law firm Sisson & Sisson. He has been a practicing lawyer since 1988, with the last 15 years in Boise, Idaho. His law firm emphasizes a holistic and comprehensive legal practice approach to the issues seniors face as they age called Life Care Planning. Life Care Planning anticipates and provides legal and care advocacy services to the firm’s clients as their circumstances and health care needs change. The firm establishes long-standing relationships with clients and families so that on-going services are provided with continuity. The firm is committed to helping clients and their families navigate the long-term and health care system and advocate for good care during their loved one's journey through the elder care continuum. Pete’s law practice also includes: Medicaid and estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships, special needs trust planning and probate work.Pete is a Board Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer certification in the area of Elder Law. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Boise Estate Planning Council, a founding member of The Better Way Coalition (an organization devoted to improving end of life caring in Idaho) and the Idaho State Bar Section on Taxation, Probate, and Trust Law.
He has in the past served on or currently serves on the board of directors for numerous local organizations including: the Idaho chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, SunHealth Behavioral Systems (a psychiatric hospital), The Better Way Coalition, and the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association.
He is licensed to practice law in Idaho, California and Montana. He received his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, graduating Order of the Coif, an honor awarded to those who are in the top 10% of their law school class.
Pete regularly publishes educational articles and lectures on the legal, financial and health issues experienced by families who are dealing with a spouse or parent’s long-term care needs. He has presented to a variety of groups including: AARP, the Governor's Conference on Aging, Idaho Roundtable (financial professionals), The Idaho Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, The Idaho Society of CPAs, A Better Way Coalition, Idaho Alzheimer's Association, Stand By You (Area Agency on Aging and Idaho Commission on Aging joint project), Boise Estate Planning Council, Treasure Valley Estate Planning Council, University of Idaho's Cooperative Extension System, the Idaho Young President's Organization and various support groups. He also has presented numerous continuing education courses for health, legal and financial professionals.
Pete lives in Boise with his wife and law partner, Rosalie. They have two daughters, Allie and Mimi, two dogs, and one cat.

Rosalie C. Sisson is a principal in Sisson & Sisson. She has been a practicing lawyer since 1988. She has devoted a substantial part of her professional career to helping those who cannot afford legal services, especially homeless women and children and those who are victims of domestic violence. She now is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with her husband (and law partner) Pete, and the rest of the Sisson & Sisson team in serving seniors.Rosalie received her law degree from Washington University School of Law located in St. Louis, Missouri, and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Rosalie met Pete, her husband and law partner, during law school. They have enjoyed practicing together since moving to Boise in 1991. Rosalie is licensed to practice law in Idaho and California.
She spent two semesters studying abroad during college. That experience was the start of her passion for traveling in developing countries – a passion she now shares with Pete and their daughters, Allie and Mimi. She is actively involved as a volunteer parent at her daughters’ schools at the elementary and middle school levels and enjoys activities in Idaho’s beautiful wilderness areas with her family.
Karen S. Dale has devoted her entire professional career to serving seniors and their families as they deal with issues associated with the need for chronic care. She continued her passion for that work by coming on with the team at Sisson & Sisson as care coordinator in 2006. Karen has been a licensed social worker for over 20 years. She worked in a skilled nursing facility in the Treasure Valley for 21 years serving as the director of social work. While there, she opened Idaho’s very first specialized Alzheimer unit, (the 20th such unit in the nation) and functioned as the director.
Karen is one of, if not the, preeminent experts on care for persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia in Idaho. She has been an educator to countless Alzheimer’s units and the staff that run those units that have opened throughout the Northwest. She has served on numerous regional and national task forces for the quality of specialized Alzheimer’s programming. Karen served 10 years as a board member for the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Idaho Chapter. Five of those years were as the board president. Karen chaired 7 statewide education conferences on Alzheimer’s Disease. She participated in 7 National Alzheimer’s Association education conferences, honing her knowledge of the disease as well as caregiver techniques. For two years, Karen was Idaho’s delegate to the National Alzheimer’s Association public policy forum in Washington D.C. She met with legislators and their staffers to appeal for the needs of Idaho citizens with Alzheimer’s Disease. Karen has been a statewide educator on issues related to Alzheimer’s Disease and aging and provides a wealth of knowledge, support and education for our clients and their families as Sisson & Sisson’s care coordinator.
She has been a faculty speaker for the Idaho Governors Conference on Aging, the United States Regional Conference on Aging, Idaho Health Care Association and the Idaho Commission on Aging. Karen was a board member for the Canyon County Board of Community Guardians for 8 years, working as a volunteer guardian to vulnerable adults.
Karen enjoys gardening, designing homemade greeting cards, hosting tea parties and reading.
Though originally from Washington State, Tamara Robertson has lived in Boise since the age of five. After graduating from college and attaining a degree in Business and Office Administration and Technology, she has worked primarily in banking and information technology. Tamara enjoys volunteering in the community. For the past twelve years, she has been working in Boise public schools, helping students in the classroom with her two favorite subjects--Reading and Math. At St. Luke’s Hospital, Tamara volunteered on the Labor and Delivery wing as a receptionist and also gave facility tours to expectant mothers and their families.
She feels her position and areas of responsibility can help her achieve some of her life goals and utilize her administrative skills to help others. Tamara has four children, five pets, and many friends of all ages! Her parents retired to Sandpoint, Idaho, so that is her favorite vacation spot—both in Summer and Winter. She enjoys bike riding, swimming, reading, camping, watching football, and any time spent with any kids!
Sebrina M. Chevalier is the Receptionist/Legal Assistant at Sisson and Sisson. When you visit us, you will be greeted by Sebrina’s warm, friendly and happy smile. She gets great satisfaction from being an important part of the team that helps give our clients and their families peace of mind as they navigate the long-term care maze. Sebrina was born in Portland, Oregon, but moved to La Grande, Oregon, when she was 3. She lived in La Grande until August of 1988 when she moved to Boise to attend BSU.
She graduated from Boise State University in 1990 with an Associates Degree in Business and Office Education and Technology. Sebrina spent the majority of her career in the executive suites/secretarial service field. In October 1989, she began working at The Secretarial Source as a Receptionist/Secretary. In April 2002, she purchased the company from her employer and continued business until August of 2008.
She currently lives in Eagle on family property with Jason and their three dogs Aspen, Tippy and Bella. She doesn’t have any children of her own, but enjoys spoiling her two nieces every chance she gets.
Sebrina enjoys spending time with family and friends, dining out, going to the movies, and laughing.
Marie Wilson joined Sisson & Sisson as the Office Manager in late 2008. Marie’s 23 years of experience in the legal field includes most recently 16 years as the office manager for the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Caldwell, Idaho, and 7 years working in law firms specializing in litigation, family law, criminal defense, real estate, and other areas of law. Marie derives great satisfaction in helping others and holds great pride in being a public servant for many years. Joining the team at Sisson & Sisson allows Marie to continue serving and she is very excited about serving in the area of elder law. Marie looks forward to a long and rich relationship with Sisson & Sisson and their clients.Marie lives in Nampa. She has one daughter and grandson, who live in Montana and who she adores. Marie has been active in the community as a volunteer with the Annual Bob LeBow Bike Tour and Boise Ironman 70.3 Triathalon events. Her favorite activities include road cycling, skiing, hiking, reading and attending the Shakespeare Theatre.
